Hi just woundering if anyone else is from MN? And I also have a question about science. I am doing BLHFHG with my 8 yr. and will be starting LHFHG next week with my 6yr. I was woundering if the science in BLHFHG would be okay to do with my 8 and 6yr. I was planning on doing them both in Beyond, but found it to be to much for my 6 yr. old so will be doing LHFHG instead. But I still would like to combine them in some things. Do you think she would miss out on things if I didn't do the science for LHFHG and did the one in Beyond? I really wanted to combine them both in beyond, but it just didn't work. Those of you who have special needs kids (mine have ADHD and LD and one is developmentally delayed) Do you get through the program in one year or do you strech it out more? I don't really have any plans set for my kids just woundering what others have done and how it is working for you. Sorry so many questions.

As far as getting though the books I would try to get through them in a year but at the same time you need to work at a level your children can handle. My son may have ADHD and one of the things I love about HOD is that it is set up to do the lessons as you have time through out the day. If my guy needs a break after one thing then we can do that if not it is easy to keep going - the boxes only take 5-15min each - very easy to take movement breaks as needed.

Thanks I was just woundering. I think I will just do the science that came with both programs. It really won't take much longer. I will just keep going everyday and see how it works. For now I am planning (we all know how well that work!) on doing school four days a week , but only doing each kid three days a week. So one day I will be doing all the kids. I will have three different programs going on here! But it is so nicely laid out I don't think I will have a problem and the kids can help each other I hope. We will just have to wait and see. I am just waiting for the history book for LHFHG and we will be ready to start!

Sheila,
There's many of us that do more than one program, so I know you'll be fine. Here's a thread that may help a bit:

Also, here's an older (more overwhelming) scheduling thread that is interesting too. Warning: Skip it if you're not a scheduler!
