But, 9pm last night, with the kids in bed and the living room floor all clear, I had my very own mini Christmas
Wow! I looked over everything for an hour, and this morning, we got up, had breakfast, cracked open the books and we were off!!!This is the first time I've ever begun something brand new with complete confidence, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, without a single moment of feeling unsure of myself, feeling confused, or wondering what was coming next! And all that after only an hour of review
I know that we are going to thoroughly enjoy this program. My ds5 is doing LHTH, and this is the first time we've completed everything in a schedule (Not that that's vital - it's just an indication of how appropriate and enjoyable everything is!). Both he and dd6 (doing LHFHG) loved the fingerplay and are excited to know that we'll be doing it every day
I am so excited as we move forward with this, and we can't wait for the days warm enough to sit outside under the tree and "do school".

*ETA: My kids are wondering what has gotten into me as I have just been doing a little jog around the house...I just found the post about the four year cycle in history. I cannot believe that I have found a curriculum with such a wonderful, hands-on, author to boot, that is allowing me to put a little check mark next to every single item on my plan!!! Is it even possible that a home schooler can find a curriculum that they didn't put together themself that is tailor-made for their family!
