Holly,
We tried Standards this year with my older daughter (3b & 4a) and quickly realized there are a lot more pages. Keep that in mind when you are scheduling. I much prefer Carrie's pace with Singapore (as did my dd) but she did enjoy the colored text. You will need to schedule 1-2 extra "lessons" a week approximately to finish the books in the same amount of time. For us, I didn't keep a set schedule, we did one lesson extra on Saturday

until dd decided she didn't mind long math days on Friday (so we doubled up that day). You might consider using the regular Singapore books that Carrie has scheduled and then look at the scope and sequence of the CA Standards books to see what (if anything) is missing in your book. I think there were only 2 additional concepts in the CA Standards for us this year and they were super simple to add in. The other thought would be to limit the Standards books to just one review (maybe the workbook review only, not text) after each chapter so your child isn't over-reviewing like I felt mine was. This is where the bulk of the additional pages are (in comprehensive reviews). Conceptually, the books almost identical. Just so you know, this year my plan is to use Carrie's schedule and if dd needs additional review or needs to learn additional concepts for testing purposes, to use my handy white board for practice.
Hope that helps,
Amy
