Ok Ladies - I need help from those who have done CTC and RTR (which is probably
only a few of you since RTR is so new but I hope to have a few people pipe in
here:) - Long story but we previously did Creation to Greeks with MFW and didn't
want to "redo" most all of that by doing HOD's CTC so we took a slight break and
did Student of the Word (SOW) this year focusing completely on the Life of
Christ.
My question is this - if we ended the Life of Christ with the Resurrection of
Jesus - is there anything at the "ending" of CTC to the "beginning" of RTR that
we will need to cover before jumping into RTR? (Meaning should we begin covering
Rome or does CTC end with Jesus' life and RTR start with His resurrection?
Please advise. Thanks Ladies!
CTC to RTR question
Re: CTC to RTR question
Hi there,
We have only just begun this feb., but I have been lurking enough to know that placement in HOD is based on skills more than a history cycle. I cant link since I am posting on my phone, but there is a placement page on the website that is key to look at. Have a look around or wait around as I am sure someone will chime in and give it to ya.
Welcome to HOD!!
Btw, I came from using SOW and I have been very blessed in just the short time I have been here.

Re: CTC to RTR question
Hi Mercy - I remember you from the SOW boards last year.
Thanks for the info...I believe my dd is best placed in RTR. Just trying to make sure we don't miss anything from Jesus' resurrection to the beginning of RTR. Looking forward to an inspiring year!!! Kim

Re: CTC to RTR question
I haven't done CTC or RTR but I do have the guides so I just went and checked the guides to see what was covered. The last 3 units of CTC cover the early church using Acts as the basis. RTR starts off pretty much where CTC left off with Paul's ship wreck. It looks like it moves quickly into the early church years. I would think you would want to cover the book of Acts before starting RTR just to have your bases covered. You can take a look at the table of contents of CTC here: http://www.heartofdakota.com/pdf/CTC-First-Week.pdf and first week of RTR here: http://www.heartofdakota.com/pdf/rtr-we ... glance.pdf. That might help you a little.
