Waiting on a box day!

Post by Mumkins » Thu Mar 31, 2011 12:11 pm

I can hardly wait! Tracking says it's left country of origin, but it hasn't checked into customs yet. Customs can be fun, lol. I've had stuff sit for a week and other stuff check in and out in 30 seconds. Praying for a quick pass through customs. I can't wait to get my hands on the TM and pour over the books!

As a fellow Canadian, I can understand your customs woes! There seems to be no rhyme or reason when it comes to how long they hold your stuff. I will be praying for a quick arrival of your box. :D

Big sigh...it's STILL sitting in customs. And my catalogue hasn't come. :( I hate that HOD has such an amazing ship out time and yet I still have to wait forever. It was shipped two weeks tomorrow.

That is such a bummer! I'll pray those custom guys get tired of looking at the books soon and send it on! :D

Thank you ladies.

I'm afraid I've lost my positive out look about it. Now I'm just upset. I just don't understand why they are taking so long to clear a box of books. :( There isn't even a number to call to ask. I tried Canada Post and they said it's all up to customs and there's no number to call them. So glad I ordered for the fall now. If this was happening in Aug, I'd be 10X more upset.

Just for fun, I checked an my past HOD packages took 7 days and 1 day in customs. I've made one other, but it's not standing out to me, so it couldn't have been that bad. It was my first order, must have deleted that e-mail.

Thanks Spidermansmum.

I just got a pleasant surprise though. No big box, but 2 books. I was unaware of there was a separate shipment, but I just went and got my mail and they were there. At least it's something to look at:). I got Life in the Great Ice Age and Shakespeare and the Globe.
