It's going to be so hard to wait for Sept!

Post by Mumkins » Fri Apr 01, 2011 11:01 am

Preparing is in the mail. I've wanted to do Preparing for 2 years! It's finally going to be time. I'll have all the books and the TM just sitting here and 5 months to wait to do it! Budget wise it made sense to order now. Plus, I've so longed to see the TM. I have 9 units left in Bigger. That will bring us well into June and then we'll have a bit of a summer break and the new baby :D . So I'll wait...but I don't want to, lol.

I know how you feel Mumkins. We have 8 units left in Bigger and then will take our summer break. I've had Preparing since the beginning of December and I can hardly stand not doing it. I'm actually thinking about going through the independent history myself this summer, because I really want to do it! :D

I know how you feel! But, enjoy this break nesting and getting really organized and ready. It will help to be ready to jump into school without having to stop.

I feel the same way! I also have about 8 weeks left of Bigger. I start my school year the first week of August, though. I don't have as long to wait. I also don't have all the books yet. I still have to place an order! I am super excited about going through that guide!

I am also excited to take my upcoming 2nd grader through Beyond next year. I absolutely loved going through that guide with my oldest ... and am excited to take my next one through it!

I agree; however, we haven't started HOD yet. I do feel like it was home for me...after months of searching and searching, we will be coming HOME after a year at the Christian school! We can't wait either!!! :D

I'm so excited for you to start Preparing!!!

We loved Preparing. I am looking forward to ordering RTR soon and getting out LHFHG again.

I have only a eight weeks left in Preparing. Sad to see it finished, but super excited for CtC... which will have to wait until August. It's sitting on the shelf, ready to go. But I have all that time to read those wonderful books before my dd begins them.

I hear what you are saying! I have loved Bigger, and we have 3 units left in it! Than we will take nice long summer break before starting Preparing! I also have had the Preparing manual for about a year now and can not wait to get there. Only using for dictation now! I know we are going to have a blast with it. :D

I hear you on waiting for the next school year! Isn't it great that we are excited to school our children? I'm new to HOD, and I actually haven't ordered yet (because as we speak, we are driving across country moving), but I cannot wait to get to Texas so I can place my order, and get my box of fun stuff soon! I have HOD on the brain so much that I dreamt about it last night! LOL I am thankful to Carrie and her family for allowing the Lord to use them to minister to all of us! :D

Hooray for Heart of Dakota! Thanks for posting this...I'm glad to know I am not the only silly mamma out there that can't wait to school!

What a blessing for Mom to be so eager to start school! I'm new to this, but it sounds rather uncommon, doesn't it? Well, not on this board! :D We're only on week 13 of LHTH and I'm already excited about Little Hearts in the fall! We will school right through summer because it will be 115 degrees outside and we can't go out to play anyway. So we'll play inside with HOD!

I'm excited you're excited - hooray! It WILL be hard to wait, but in times of struggle, you can get out your PHFHG guide and read it in the bubble bath... PHFHG take me away. September will be here quicker than you think, I bet - I'm glad you are looking forward to the year - it should be a good one. :D

I can't say I've ever had the urge to read a Teacher's Manual in the bath. That must be a really great TM!

I know how you feel, though. With every new book that comes in the mail, I'm getting more and more excited! These are not fluff and nonsense books! I want to read them all now!
