Salvation - a child's faith!
My dd prayed to receive Christ at a Christian day camp almost two years ago. We are doing LHFHG and there are many times opportunities are given for the child to receive Christ if they haven't done so. Today we were reading about the Great Awakening in History For Little Pilgrims and also from Devotions for the Children's Hour, the chapter entitled 'What Happens When We Ask Jesus To Be Our Savior? At the end of the devotional, the question was asked, "Have you asked Jesus to save you?" DD will reaffirm to me many times that she has done that. She did again this morning and followed it up with, "IF YOU COULD GET INSIDE MY HEART, YOU WOULD SEE IT IS WHITE AS SNOW." No wavering there! Such childlike faith!

Yes, this is the number one thing that I can see will keep me with HOD for awhile! The Spirit has so much liberty to draw children while using this curriculum! My children have already grown so much within their faith just within the last few months when we began. It is so exciting to see!! This is my number one goal in homeschooling my children, that they would learn to love the Lord with all their heart, soul and mind. (we just finished up that memory verse in lhfhg last week) HOD places a morsel here and a morsel there for the children to chew on so they can "taste and see that the Lord is good!" With heart of Dakota I know that my children's spiritual foundation is being built strong and I am confident that they will be able to stand on their own when that time comes! What a testimony to this curriculum!!! Yes, HOD is organized well, yes HOD is academically challenging, but when it all comes down to it, I have confidence that I am teaching my children's hearts through HOD and that is what is of lasting value!
