question about thinking skills book

Post by Melanie »

This year, for Little Hearts, we used the R&S books for fine motor skills (and loved them by the way  ). I'm wondering if anyone used the Thinking Skills book with Beyond?? It was the only book from Little Hearts that we haven't done and I'm just curious if we're missing something really good and if it would be too much to add it to the Beyond program??

I'm getting very excited about Beyond as we near the end of Little Hearts! :D

Thanks guys!!

Melanie,

You could easily add the Thinking Skills book to "Beyond..", but you really wouldn't need to. It depends if you are looking for a little something independent for them to do. If so, this would fit the bill. If you don't need another thing, the skills are covered through the math program and other fine motor activities in "Beyond..." (such as copywork and the art-type projects).

We used the thinking skills book my dd loved it. She really liked that she could do it herself. And I could see her skills improving day by day

We are using the Thinking Skills book and my son does like it. He is able to do it on his own which is nice. We have not used the R&S books so I can't compare. I would think your kiddos will be fine.

Thank you all for your help. I have a big problem with wanting to do "everything" and have trouble skipping books and letting things go.... Handwriting is good, so I think we'll just (big breath) let it go.

We're counting down....9 weeks left in Little Hearts!! We'll probably start Beyond the very next day!

Hip! Hip! Hooray! Melanie - you are in the home stretch! :D
P.S. Carrie said you'd mentioned something about having a thyroid problem - is that right, or is that someone else on the board? I do too, and have been meaning to private message you about that.
