Would you ladies be so kind as to look at my schedule and tell me what you think? I feel like I"m not giving enough time to certain areas or maybe I'm forgetting something....
This schedule is for my DD9 in PHFHG, DS7 in public school 1st, DS4.5 in LHTH plus some of this and that, and DS16months. (DS7 will be back home in the fall)
We will be working in an hour of therapy for DS16m 2-5 times per week IN HOME-- Definitely Developmental and most likely Speech and OT/Sensory. Also, DD9 is being evaluated tomorrow for PT and OT/Sensory therapies so she will very likely have a couple days a week of in-home therapy as well. I'm not so worried about working in DS's since that just gives me more time to do school or housework, but am a little concerned about DD's. But...SHE NEEDS IT. Especially the OT for sensory issues. So, we will cross that bridge when we get there and I may be back asking for your insight in tweaking this schedule!
DD has been in public school this semester, but we've decided to pull her back out...so although we've done some of PHFHG already, I've already lost the "groove" with it and may have mis-scheduled based on bad memory of how much time is needed for each box. Please help me out!

OOPS...didn't mean to post the pic of it...let's see.... this should be better!!! http://www.keepandshare.com/doc/view.ph ... 86436&da=y

Re: Critique my schedule?
We know all about OT for sensory issues - my ds is going through it for specifically his eating sensory issues. It's been a blessing though to see strides made!
I'm sorry but I can't comment on your schedule.
We've not reached Preparing yet. We do 2 HOD programs at a time, but I sit with each child (one at a time) and complete all of it at once with each one while my youngest is napping.
I'm sorry but I can't comment on your schedule.

Tamara,
I am tired but it looks to me that you have everything covered with enough time. I'm also doing Preparing and this seems to be good time allowances for the boxes. I will look at it again tomorrow with fresh eyes but at first glance it seems good to me.
Hope that helps!

Re: Critique my schedule?
Just got back from therapy evaluations for DS1 and DD9. Going to have to work in A LOT of therapy time! 5-6 hours per week for him. And 2-4 for her. Still waiting on more specific results. We will need to travel there once per week, about half an hour away for about 2-3 hours of therapy where they are both in with their therapists at the same time hopefully. Then we'd have one more day of each therapy for each of them at home. Three for him and two for her. Likely NOT on the same day. This is a lot. Way more than expected.

Re: Critique my schedule?
Tamara,
I think once you know more how your therapies are going to schedule out, how long you'll be gone, and which days they'll be on, you'll have a better idea of what to do with your schedule.
Preparing Hearts is a 4-day plan, which will help with the heavy therapy day. You may want to just do Preparing Hearts 3 days a week while your daughter is doing her therapies on the other 2 days. Or, she could keep going with math and language arts 4 days a week and do the rest of Preparing Hearts 3 days a week.
It is likely that over time her therapy schedule will get less intensive, so you could then assess again after a year and up your schedule for her then. This is just one idea that bears pondering, to make your life a bit more sane.
I always think steady progress forward is better than overworking an already tired mind or body. Right now, her therapy is obviously needed and important and will tire mind and body. So, it is good to take that into account when planning her schedule.
Blessings,
Carrie
