Dd is excited about DITHOR!

Post by Daph » Sat Mar 19, 2011 9:28 pm

On a whim (I think?) I went to my local Christian book store and found a couple of manuals that I was considering for next year, one of them being DITHOR. I had my eight-year-old with me and wanted to get her opinion on them. She decided that she really likes the DITHOR workbook. Her words, "I like that it doesn't have pictures, because those are too distracting." :lol We did a page together, orally, using Madeline, a book she's already read. She did a great job with it, and I felt comfortable explaining it to her, even without the TM. She is really looking forward to using this next year. I really don't know why I keep second-guessing myself on curriculum choices, because my own kid is telling me that she wants this! LOL

Off to add some HOD to my cart! :D

How sweet! :D We pray you'll have a wonderful time with DITHR! I know it has made a huge difference in the way my sons think about what they read and in their moral discernment as they read and weigh things in their books from a Biblical perspective. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

I like your dd's line of thinking - we love DITHOR - she obviously will too! :D Wait 'til you get your hands on it - you'll probably have a tough time not starting it immediately. :D

This afternoon, I showed the photobooks for Bigger to dd8 and told her that the same person who wrote the book she picked out on Sat., also wrote the curriculum we'll be using for next year. She said, "I might like it, then!" LOL
