Well if this doesn't make ya smile.....

Post by alydar » Sun Mar 20, 2011 5:21 pm

We're doing LHFHG and LHTH in our home right now but everyone joins in for Storytime with the Burgess books. Well, we are now on Danny Meadow Mouse and still the enjoyment is there and the anticipation for each new chapter - yay! :D

Back when we were reading Peter Cottontail there was a part where once again he had eluded Reddy Fox and the chapter ended with "if at first you don't succeed, try, try again!" by Peter. Well, our 22 month old has a rapidly growing vocabulary and he now walks around the house saying, "try, try again!" And if someone starts the statement he'll finish it with a big ol' grin on his face!

HOD has really touched all members of our family and I'm truly delighted to see how each of my children have grown since starting last fall. :D :D :D

Now that DOES make me smile - how precious! :D Those Thorton Burgess books bring a lot of joy, don't they? And on the side, they're chock full of some pretty good character lessons too! :D
