Praise, Prayer & Thanks!!

Post by Mom4Him » Wed Jan 19, 2011 8:23 pm

Hello wonderful HOD Mommies! I love coming here, for I always find encouragement & wonderful ideas from all of you!
I have some exciting news that I wanted to share (which some of you already know)...
We are expecting baby #6 in June! :D :D
We are very excited & are praising God for one more little one to raise up for HIM!

I do want to ask for prayer, though! I am nearing 18 weeks, & was hoping the "morning sickness" (all-day sickness for me) would be gone by now, but it is not! :(
I am feeling better than I was a month ago, but the days are still hard... I miss playing with my other kids & just having energy (& smiles) for the day. So- if you would please pray that the sickness would go away, I would be so very blessed! :D

I am SO VERY THANKFUL for HOD!! For amidst feeling sick these last few months, we are still able to get through school each day- & we all love it!! :D :D I know without HOD, this would not have been possible! So thank-you for the wonderful plans that are so well laid out- that I can do with my children even while I am half-asleep on the couch. Thank-you for putting Christ at the heart of your curriculum, & for making it so fun for us all! :D
Blessings,
Jessica

I am soooo happy for you!! Sorry about the morning sickness. That and the fatigue can be miserable. But just think...several months from now you won't even remember how bad you are feeling now!! That's the good news, right? :)

You are so right about HOD!

As I have said before....HOD makes our homeschool work on my best days and my worst days!!! :)

Bless you!

Oh, Jessica!!! I checked out your blog, and it is awesome!!!! Your family is more than beautiful!!! You truly are a blessed woman. :) It is so encouraging. I am going to be going to it and reading your posts when I have time.

Hey, everyone...You need to click on the blog for Jessica/Mom4Him....she has the link at the bottom of her signature...you will be blessed by it!!

Sorry to get a little of topic!!

Jessice, BTW, I have been wanting to start a family blog that is really fun and cute based off of the verse "Oh Lord, your lovingkindness is better than life." I want to name the blog "Better than Life". I will have to find someone to help me as I am not computer savvy.....

Again, sorry off topic!!

Have a blessed day.....

Congratulations, Jessica! :D I pray your pregnancy goes smoothly, and I too found HOD to be a special blessing to me when I was pregnant - I could get it done amidst much morning sickness, doctor's visits, etc. . I'm so happy for you!

Hi Jessica,

I am keeping you in my prayers for your morning sickness to fade away so you can get back in the swing of things. :D It is always a blessing to read your blog and see those wonderful blessings of yours. :D :D !
Indeed it is a blessing to have been led by the Lord to HOD for us Mom's. I had surgery in June, with strict bed-rest for 6 weeks and school continued on with the set up of HOD :D and my wonderful friend who took my 3 kiddo's with her 5 (she had 1 on the way and was past her morning sickness) and continued on!!!! Once I was able all school happened from Mom's bedroom! :D
Thanks to Carrie for making the curriculum so that we can continue either on or own or with the help of others even in our greatest time of need. :D :D
So, May the grace of God sustain you through this time of not feeling optimal and may He help the baby inside of you to grow strong, stay healthy and have the babies delivery be safe! :D :D
Blessings and keep us posted!!! :D

Jessica,

Congratulations!!! :D I have to tell you that I just LOVE peeking at your beautiful family & being encouraged by your beautiful spirit, too. I noticed your prayer request here this weekend...and forgot to reply, but you have been in my thoughts & prayers. Those sick days are hard, and I too have been oh-so-thankful for HOD in the midst of it! That morning sickness always seems to me like it's really going to be permanent - but thankfully it never has been! Last year at this time I was exhausted, puking, (thrilled that I was pregnant), taking care of my sweet little girl with an infected incision from an appendectomy, and amazed that I was still enjoying school with my kids. Today we're cruising along with HOD still, and I spent the afternoon helping feed all our baby calves and getting HUGE slobbery kisses & giggles from my sweet little Asa. :D I am SO thankful for God's all-sufficient grace to make it through the tough times leaning on Him, and am praying that you can rest in that same grace until you're in the next phase of your life!

Jessica,

Congralations on your news! :D I'm so sorry that you are sick. Hopefully that will eventually pass, and if it remains... at least once the babe is born the sickness will have an end. I was very sick throughout my last pregnancy to the point of needing medication to stop the nausea and to drinking special shakes for my nutrients each day, but my little boy was so worth it (and I made up for it after the birth by enjoying food to the fullest, hence my weight now!)

If you've never tried sea bands, they do help some when worn on the wrists. Marines wear them to keep from getting seasick in choppy waters. I wore mine constantly. Lemon juice or a lemon slice in hot decaff. tea can help some too. Ginger ale or ginger tea works for some. Of course small snack-type meals every 2-3 hours of salty crackers, nuts, cheese, toast, peanut butter, tart fruit, etc. works well if you can keep any of it down. I"ll say a prayer for you and your little one. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

-Oh yes, I know those days well! LOL!

Just wanted to mention...water.
Chug it before you go to bed (if it makes you sick to drink too much).
But, however you do it, it makes a big difference!

Praise God for your new little blessing!!
