Beautiful Girlhood on its own?

Post by TammyTE »

Does anyone know if the beautiful girlhood study (and the one for boys) from the Resurrection level can be done on its own or added to a different level? I am wanting to combine my three older children keeping them in the same level each year. But I would like to do this particular study at a specific age with each of them one on one. So it might look like this:

Do BHFHG with all three but add the girlhood study with the oldest

Next year do PHFHG with all three but add the boy character study with my middle

Next year do CTC with all three but add the girlhood study with my third child

What do you think? Would that work?

I'll bump it up as well because I am curious if this could work. I am considering adding the boys version for my son to do next year with CTC. Wondering if it would be too much.

Thanks!

I am wondering this myself. My DD (age 10) is in Bigger with Extenstions. I am contemplating starting the study within the next month, and certainly starting it by fall.

Yes, I do think this would work. :D In the RTR guide, we do give directions for you to meet twice weekly with your child to do the study. It requires the Beautiful Girlhood book, the Companion Guide to Beautiful Girlhood, and a Common Place Book for copywork. If you desire to follow our plans for the study, however, you'll need the RTR guide. Since you'll be doing this study at a time when you won't have the RTR guide, it's up to you whether you would rather go it on your own, or have the plans. :D

Hope that helps! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Thank you Carrie. That is helpful. I would probably get your guide and then have it when we are at RTR level.:)

So then, would you do some of the girlhood again when they are actually doing RTR?

Tammy,

If you'd already done Beautiful Girlhood with that particular child before she got to RTR, I wouldn't be likely to repeat it when she gets to RTR. At this point, we are looking to schedule Beyond Beautiful Girlhood in the guide to come after Revival to Revolution, which is something that you could consider doing in place of Beautiful Girlhood in RTR if you'd already done Beautiful Girlhood with an earlier guide. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
