HOD in Pennsylvania!!!!!

I just realized that HOD will be in Pennsylvania. Maybe this has been mentioned already, but I've been kind of out of the loop for a while. It's not Harrisburg, which I usually go to, but I'll settle for Valley Forge. It's 3 hours away, but since dd(21) was born, we have made many, many, trips to Philadelphia for doctor visits and hospital stays. So, the drive is nothing. I just hope the dates work out. I would love to meet Carrie, Julie, or anyone else from HOD.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm stoked!!!!!!!!! Finally, after several years of begging. I can't wait to meet you, Carrie and see all the future programs in person. I'm so excited! Valley Forge is only 20 min. away from me! Woohoo!

You will really enjoy meeting Carrie & Julie. My daughter & I met them at the homeschool book fair in Arlington, TX last year, which is a 3 hour drive for us also. They are both so sweet, helpful, and easy to talk to. I look forward to seeing them again this year....I have a lot of questions for them this time! It will be worth the drive.

Sue, if you haven't looked up the info, it is June 23-25 at the Valley Forge Convention Center. If you go to www.northeasthomeschoolconvention.com, you can get all the information (speakers, vendors, etc.) Workshops are very helpful. Maybe some of us will meet at the HOD table.

My dh just announced to me that he had planned for both of us to go to this conference for our Anniversary! It is our Anniversary weekend (anniv. on the 24th) and while I had planned to go with some friends, he was already planning for both of us to go! I am super excited! That man sure surprised me sometimes!

That's great, Sue! I have been wanting my dh to accompany me at a conference sometime. He was going to in 2009 and then I decided not to attend the second day (Harrisburg only has it for two days). I don't know if I could get him to attend at Valley Forge or not. Maybe since Ken Ham will be there, I can convince him. We'll see.

That is how dh found out about it...through an email from AiG announcing that Ken Ham would be speaking. I think that was the draw for him. I'm just excited he is coming.
