Just 3 words...

Post by christina101902 » Wed Jan 12, 2011 11:29 am

Who knew three words could be so awesome? My 4yo daughter read her first sentence, a cat sat. Thank you, thank you HOD for enabling me to be my daughter's teacher. TRL is wonderful. :D

Christina,

That is truly music to a momma's ears, isn't it! :D I still remember that moment for each of my boys. It's a huge first step on the road toward becoming a reader. :D Celebrating with you tonight!

Blessings,
Carrie

So far it hasn't stopped being amazing when she learns those new things and can READ for herself, do math, reason, and especially when we talk about Jesus!!!! :D

Echoing your praise for such an amazing gift as our children, and the opportunity to teach them what they need to know!

I think Im just as excited as she is to begin Lesson 2. I looked ahead to the final Lesson I can not believe that in just 20 lessons , she will be able to read so many words.

Although Ive read other posts about children struggling after lesson 4. This news makes me fret a little. :(

Christina - don't fret! It will come, and for now, keep on celebrating - way to go MOM, and dd! Your dd is now officially a reader! :D She'll come to the rest of her reading in shades, and soon she'll be able to read well and you'll be left wondering when exactly it happened. :D
