This is where new posts begin. All questions or discussions about any of Heart of Dakota's curriculums start here. If you wish to share a one-time post about your family's experience with our curriculum, you may post under the specific curriculum title (found beneath this "Main Board" heading).
We're doing almost no speaking this year, as we are finding our life so busy that something had to give. So, we decided that for us speaking falls further down the list for this season in our life. Maybe as our kiddos get older we'll delve more deeply into that area. It is very hard to say, "No" to good things, but it helps keep us focused on homeschooling our own boys and on writing (which are our definite priorities). Thanks for asking!
We so understand that speaking would add too much on your plate and are so thankful that you are coming to Fl. It will be a blessing to speak to you and Julie in person and I am confident that we will glean from you by just visiting with you during convention...
As the Lord wills, we will see you in Orlando in May

Do we have to register for the conference and if so is their a link on the site? I could only find the conference dates listed. Thank you for your help.

Yes, you have to register for the convention. Go to www.fpea.com and register. You will also find information about hotel reservations if you are interested.

I went to the website, and looked through the brochure. Heart of Dakota was not listed as a vendor???? Was HOD added as a vendor after it was printed? Also does anyone have any workshop suggestions for a first time home schooling mom?

The program listed is from 2010. They have not printed the one for 2011. It usually comes out sometime in April, beginning of May. When it comes out ask again about some suggestions for workshops and I will try to help. You can private message me too. Where do you live in FL? It would be great to meet other HODie in Orlando.

That would be so neat to meet other HOD'ers in Orlando! I'm coming over Friday morning and staying until Saturday around 5ish. Please keep me in the loop if you decide to get some folks together Friday or Saturday! Hopefully I'll be able to make it. (Still working out the babysitting details for the DCs.) Thanks!
