Update, prayer request, and Merry Christmas!

I have not been on the board much at all the past two months. I had posted about the baby we are caring for through our local prison ministry. Well, needless to say, I have been very busy. We just absolutely adore this baby girl. She is beautiful and is a pretty good baby, sleeping all night at 2 months old. I am posting a picture of her with Angie, if it works. I hope it's okay. Angie just loves her. We have begun visits with her mother at the prison. Please pray for her salvation. She seems very open, but I think is getting involved in 'religion' rather than a relationship with Jesus Christ. It would make it so much easier to see her take the child when she is released, if we know that this precious little girl will continue to be taught the ways of the Lord.

Hopefully after the holidays I will be able to get back in the swing of things and visit the board more often.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. We visited the baby's mother today and I shared some Scripture with her. She is very open. She is being taught to 'give herself to God' at church in the prison, but I've been stressing that we need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to 'get to God'. Pray that I can get her literature that would help and that she would gain full understanding of salvation. The prison has strict policies about what can be sent in the mail and when we visit, we can only take our identification, keys, and some money (for vending machines during visit), and some necessities for the baby. I may be able to have things sent to her directly through Amazon. Pray that this would be possible. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers.
