We are starting Preparing and I just want to be sure that I have this right in terms of supplies. My dd will need a composition book for her common place book and a composition book for dictation. Then she will need a 3 ring binder for science, history & language. I intend on using index cards for vocabulary. Do the science, history and language all fit in one binder or will I need separate ones for each of those subjects? Finally, where do you store projects? Some I know would fit in the notebook in page protectors but what about the ones that don't? Am I missing anything on my list? Where do the Independent History Study projects go?
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I am trying to be sure I have everything on hand.
Thanks,
Edie

sounds like you are on top of it all! I am doing Preparing and here is what I do:
1) composition book (nice one) for bible verse copywork
2) normal exercise lined book for dictation exercises
3) index cards for vocabulary exercises
4) 2 x 3 ring binder folders (1 for all science subjects: independent, draw and write through history, experiments; and 1 for LA and History work). These are filled with plastic sleeves and dividers.
For projects, if they are able to go into a plastic sleeve, I put them in one of the folders. If not, I take photos of them and then put the actual project on display for everyone!
Have fun!!!

Thanks Corrie! That makes perfect sense. I have taken pictures other times and put it in my dd's notebook, so that is a perfect solution. Looks like I have what I need then.
Couldn't wait till January, started today. Had an awesome first day!! Loving this curriculum!!!!! Loved hearing my dd singing Psalm 1 in her room getting ready for dinner. We got just about everything done in 2 hours while the little guys napped. I am so happy about this change, I almost want to pinch myself. God is soooo good!

I'm just joining you in praise for a good jump start to your new guide! I loved hearing my boys singing the Psalms too! It truly blessed me every day all year long.
