WWTB - copy or write right on the booklet pages?

Post by Tabitha » Wed Sep 22, 2010 3:20 pm

We are getting ready to start this, and I am so use to copy allowed pages in our books for the girls to write on vs. writing in the book...so forgive my silly question here.

Is WWTB a consumable? Write right on the pages, no need to go copying anything for them?

Thanks!

We copied the page when we had to do the descriptive noun, adjective, adverb, etc. exercise because I wanted to keep a "clean" copy and also because ds7 will one day use this too. I am sure it would also be fine as a consumable, though.

Tabitha,

This year we began the year with CTC for my oldest. We came from a textbook/workbook style program before and found that my son wasn't quite ready for the skills required in CTC, so we switched over to Preparing Hearts. He's really doing great with it and it seems to be a perfect fit for him. All of that to say that I did begin the school year getting ready for using CTC. On the bottom of page 1 in WWTB it says that "no part of this publication may be reproduced. . . ", however on page 11 in the "how to use this program" section it states that "parents are permitted to copy only the pages containing the cited literary passages (also referred to in this cirriculum as reading passages) and the Proofreading Checklist for thier student's use."

The only written work the student would need to do would be on those pages or on notebook paper. Just make a copy of the reading passages and the proofreading checklist and you're in business! :D

Blessings!

Lisa

Thanks so much ladies! I hadn't gotten that far into the book, as you can tell - lol. Our vacation allowed us to start a late school year, and right now I am crunching on my end to get ready. Reading passages and check list - got it. Easy enough. Out the door now to go make all my copies.
