Books to Encourage/Inspire

Post by Marcee » Wed Sep 01, 2010 7:44 am

I ordered God's Hand In Life's Little Moments last night with our curriculum. I cannot wait to get my hands on everything :D

What other books have you found encouraging/inspirational/helpful on your journey. I have a few I am looking at, but am not sure I can post titles on the board?? Or if y'all can specifically answer my question. If so, I'd love to hear your recommendations. If not, could you PM me?
Thanks!!

Blessings-

Hi, I can recommend Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss. I think it is a must read once a year :)! Also, any book that you can read by Susan Hunt will encourage you beyond imagination. Susan wrote the ABC Bible Verses recommended for Little Hands to Heaven, but she also has written many ladies, books...True Woman, Spiritual Mothering, Your Home - A Place of Grace. A have also heard good things about one called Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World by Joanna Weaver. I placed a hold and am picking that one up from the Library today...I'll let you know!

Hope this helps!!

Not sure along what areas you want to be encouraged in but I so enjoyed Homeschool Supermom...NOT. Another book I wouldn't miss is Homeschooling With a Meek and Quiet Spirit.

Here's a few I've recently enjoyed:

Todd Wilson's book "Lies Homeschooling Moms Believe"
Andrew Farley's "the naked GOSPEL"

Also, Julie's book is wonderful and anything by Beth Moore is awesome!
