OT: It looks like tomorrow will be the day...

Post by Kathleen » Wed Aug 25, 2010 5:44 pm

...that our baby will arrive! :D We are SO excited to welcome our new little boy! Tomorrow is my due date, and they're planning to induce me at 6:30 am (since I haven't had any action on my own yet). So, I would appreciate any prayers tomorrow while in labor & delivering him. I was "kind of" induced with Garret. He was 1 day early and had broken my water a little (which appeared to have kind of resealed) with his wild kicking. Anyway, I didn't have enough fluid left, so they hooked me up to pitocin and he came in about 5 hrs. He was 9 pounds 7 oz....and I think his little brother seems to be growing just as well, which is why my Dr. doesn't think it's a good idea to go overdue.

My other 2 both came early and were noticably smaller (6.12 and 7.12). But, I was in labor with them forever (27 hours)!

I will let you all in on the joy of his arrival when I'm around a computer again!
Off to pack for our "trip"...
:D Kathleen

I'll be praying for you, now and for tomorrow. :D

It was funny, with our last one, I was scheduled to be induced at 7 am. I ended up going into labor the night before, and having her at 1am instead! :D No need for pitocin that day! We didn't know if we were going to make it to the hospital in time. I wasn't even admitted when we had her, we were only there for 13 min. before she was born! :D I'll be praying that your little guy's entry into this world is a calm and beautiful experience for you both!

Blessings as you welcome your new precious baby!!!! :D

In Christ,

Lisa

I will definitely be praying for you, Kathleen! I was just induced with our newest little guy -- first time to do that. It went well -- the pitocin was the hardest part for me. Once they took me off of it, I contracted on my own and he came really fast! I will pray it will be a smooth and relatively quick labor! (((HUGS)))

Praying for a smooth delivery.

Don't worry about size too much. My first boy was 9lbs 15oz. My second 10lbs 14oz. The 2nd was easier than the 1st, an uneventful homebirth. Also my only one to come before my due date. I always joke God had to get him out while he'd still fit. I went in labour at 39w2d. My girls were 7lbs 14oz and 8lbs 13oz. Since the pattern for the same gender is up 1lb less an ounce. That means if our next one is a boy, we could have 11lbs 13oz, lol.

Anyway, praying you go into labour tonight and there's no need for induction and if you do have one, that it goes smoothly and quickly.

Share a pic of your sweet one once he's here. :D
