RTR BOX DAY FOR US!

Post by patekake » Mon Jul 19, 2010 6:55 pm

Our box of books for our upcoming year with RTR arrived today!! It has been so much fun to go through each book. As my husband thumbed through the pages of the books, he was in awe of the depth of the study. We agreed that we were never exposed to such quality material throughout our school years. Thank you, Carrie!

What fun! I would love to get my hands on some of those books, but since we are just starting Beyond I guess we have awhile. :)

We got our RTR books also. My daughter took one look at them and said "Mom, I can't wait to start school". I did not expect that response because we are in the middle of an exciting summer. The books look great. Thank you HOD! :D

Happy Box Day to you!!! :D

I have to agree, we love the looks of the RTR program. We will have to wait until next year, though, to dig into those books! Have a great time looking through your "treasure box" ! :D

HOORAY for BOX DAY! :D I haven't had my RTR Box Day yet, but I'm getting excited for it! :D That's wonderful, patekake! I bet your dd will have a super year with it. Is it too early to ask you to snap some pics of her doing it for the RTR Photobook?

I would be happy to take some pictures again this year. What a surprise we received when we clicked on the photobook and saw that she was on the front cover. I could not resist and ordered her one. It is defintely a treasure! We keep it handy to share with others as she is quite proud of it.

Is there something we're supposed to do to get in the photobook? I looked through the Preparing one and my kids weren't in it. I'm not complaining at all. It's fine, I was just wondering... It's such a cool idea! Kind of like a yearbook. :)

Oh, that's so sweet! :D Well, she should be proud - her smiling face shows how happy homeschooling with HOD can be. :) Thanks, I would so love to have you snap pics of RTR as time allows! :)

Hi Leah! A few years ago I made photobooks for LHTH through PHFHG to take to the book fairs. I thought it would be fun to put them online to be shared as well, since everyone can't make it to a book fair. :D Last year, I did the CTC photobook, and this year I'll be doing the RTR one. I greatly appreciate anyone snapping pics and sending them to me. Once and awhile for some reason the photos are too fuzzy and Shutterfly says I can't use them. Once and awhile there are many poses of the same thing, in which case I can't use all of them, and also once and awhile I've received photos after the photobook has already been ordered, in which case I can't add them to it. These are the only situations I've not used photos that have been sent. I imagine at some point I'll go back and redo the photobooks, but for now we're just doing a photobook a year for the new guide that came out. If anyone doing RTR this year is able to snap pics and send them to me, that would be wonderful! I believe our first book fair next year will be early March (Mike and Carrie will be announcing the 2011 book fair dates), which means I'll have to have the photobook together super early - like around the beginning of February. Yikes! That sounds way too soon! I will not panic... I will not panic... I will not panic... Thanks so much for asking! :D

Oh ok, I get it now. For some reason I thought photos were randomly picked from the week in review board...now that I think about it that was kind of silly to think that. duh  Anyway, don't panic on the RTR photobook. :) You can do it! :D

Oh, I'm happy for you! I love our books and can't wait to get started. When I originally read your title I thought maybe the second mailing had happened early. I am on pins and needles to get my TM and notebooking pages. Patience is not one of my virtues. LOL.
