Table of Contents for RTR

Post by TolleLegeAcademy » Sun Jun 27, 2010 3:44 pm

Is there a table of contents posted somewhere on the site for the RTR guide?
Thanks for any help pointing me in the right direction.

To the best of my knowledge this is still to come. I think I remember that it is to come in July. But that is just off the top of my head I am not certain. Right now there is just the samples that are here. http://www.heartofdakota.com/rtr_hearts-for-him.php But there is a fair amount of information on this page. HTH. :D

Thank you. I will keep an eye out for any further announcements about this being posted. I am anxious to see the TOC/introduction to make some final decisions about ordering.

Take care,
Kim

I know I am excited too. :D I already have all the books and know we are doing RTR and I still can't wait to see more. I check that page often just in case.

Hi Kim, and welcome to the HOD Board! :D We are doing RTR this year and are getting very excited to begin. We're on summer break, but will more than likely start sometime in September. Water2wine already answered your question well, so I'll just agree. I do believe that will be up sometime in July. The RTR guide itself will ship around the first to second week of August. I am the editor and could possibly try to answer other questions you may have if you want to post some. I think you'll find HOD to be an incredible blessing to homeschool with, as we have in our home. I also think this board is amazing - full of such neat Christian ladies! It's one of my favorite places to visit. I'll look forward to getting to know you more here too. :D

In Christ,
Julie

Thank you, Julie.
I'll keep checking back on the site. I'm mostly interested in the pacing of topics through the year and the division of the history period. Hopefully it will be posted soon. I think HOD is great!

Kim,

The Table of Contents will be posted along with the rest of the Introduction for RTR around the third or fourth week of July. :D It is the last item for the new book to be posted on our website each year. This is because we like to post the Table of Contents along with the Introduction, and the Introduction is the last thing to be written (as we sum up the book). :D

I will say that since RTR's history is very biographical, the Table of Contents flows mainly chronologically, but not in strict form. This is because the view in RTR focuses on people, whose lives overlapped one another's, across nations and time. :D The kiddos will be reading about so many important people and gaining a glimpse into their lives, which in turn provides a look at the historical time period from a variety of places around the world. It's definitely a different feel than a strictly chronological type history. Yet, I learned so much as we went through the study, and I will never forget many of the men and women that we "met" through RTR. :D

We are looking forward to using RTR with our second son this year, after piloting much of it with our oldest son this past year in rough form. We pray it may be a blessing in your family as well. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
