I just wanted to send a "thank you" to Carrie Austin and Julie and everyone at Heart of Dakota who have brought this great curriculum to my home! I normally wouldn't gush over new schoolbooks, however, we just received our HOD boxes today, and I'm quite impressed. This will be our sixth year of homeschooling (this fall), and I am learning so much. I have just this last year learned about the Charlotte Mason philosophy and am so impressed with how her methods give children a "gentle" approach to learning/education. Her methods really fit what our little homeschool needs! Her ideas on the way children learn really helped me with my children. I was a public schooler growing up and only wish I had the opportunity to have such a biblicly sound education. I have prayed for just this kind of curriculum for a long time! I've finally found it! If only I had started with HOD. . . . . .. I am very thankful for the richness of literature and soundness of doctrine found in HOD.
As I unpacked the boxes, I was just amazed at the things my children are going to be learning this year. Finally. . . .school is going to be fun! Something we all look forward to. My oldest is going to be in CTC, my second son and oldest daughter will be in Beyond together, and my youngest two (girls) will both be doing LHTH. I can't begin to tell you all how excited and blessed and thrilled I am at this set of programs. God has TRULY BLESSED! We serve an awesome God!!!!!
Thank you so much!
In Christ,
Lisa

Lisa,
Welcome! I've only been on board since February and I have felt exactly the same way about HOD. I'm not sure how I found it on the internet. It had to be the Lord's leading. I have had such peace about using this since I found it. I'm actually excited about homeschooling again. DD finishes K at school this week. It will be hard to hold off getting the HOD books out when she's done

Summer break first

And here's the really GREAT thing about HOD - it actually IS as good as it looks! Many other programs LOOK great, but don't feel that way as you go along. HOD is authentically wonderful! You will have such a great year, and you will learn so much yourself.
Enjoy!

Lisa, thanks for sharing your excitement! I can remember how I felt when I received my first HOD order. I was beside myself with glee! For a few months prior to finding HOD, I had been in prayer, asking the Lord for very particular things in a curriculum. I had tried several different things in the past and there were things I loved about them and things I didn't like at all. But, through prayer, the Lord led me to HOD and it been a wonderful blessing to our family.
Next year, our second year with HOD, we will also be doing Beyond Little Hearts and Creation to Christ!!
I just know you are going to continue to be excited!!
Blessings!

Lisa,
Oh! I am so glad!

You blessed my heart today with your heartfelt words of encouragement!

Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share your thoughts.
We pray that CTC, Beyond, and LHTH will bless your family this year. We did that same combination this year with our own boys and had a terrific year (with the addition of piloting RTR with my oldest son). We hope you will too!
Blessings,
Carrie

Thank you so much for replying to my post. I truly value all the hard work that goes into this curriculum, and am so thankful for it! It is my prayer that God enables you to keep writing such wonderful programs. It really is quite a ministry!
Thank you so much. May God bless you and your family richly!
