We finished Preparing today and can't wait to get into CTC in August! As another thread mentioned, we are not burned out and have read so many wonderful books this year! :D Thanks to Carrie and Mike and everyone else who made this curriculum possible! :D

It's so exciting to start a program but it's even better to finish! What a great sense of accomplishment.

Congrats!

That is so good to hear, Brenda. I am hoping we have found our home here. I am tired of looking, switching, second guessing, and being disappointed. When I opened the Beyond guide, I was so surprised, it's not at all what I was expecting. I am excited to try it out in August. :)

Brenda,

I am celebrating with you today on your completion of Preparing Hearts! :D What a good feeling it is to finish a guide, yet it is bittersweet too as we realize our kiddos are another year older! :D We enjoyed Preparing Hearts so much last year with our second little guy that I was sure CTC couldn't be any better. However, I have seen my son grow so much through the Bible reading, daily quiet time, history, and science studies within CTC this year. We have had wonderful discussion about Genesis and the Geography of the Bible lands. He's completed beautiful paintings and thoroughly enjoyed sharing the poetry with me. He also has an amazing notebook of his progress this year. :D As we are close to the end of CTC, it has truly been a wonderful year. We pray you will enjoy CTC as much as you loved Preparing! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Brenda - I'm so glad that you enjoyed Preparing all the way through! We did at our house, too!! :D (And I think I get to order my new books in June this year...that's coming right up!! Yay! :D We'll be starting again in August, just like you. )

Carrie - I'm glad to hear that even you think that the next year can't possibly be as great as the one you just finished - and then it is! I'm so enjoying watching my kids grow up and having the chance to teach & learn right beside them. And I KNOW that HOD is a huge tool for making it so enjoyable for me! You are blessing so many with this curriculum that is so kid & mom-friendly that keeps Christ totally at the center of our days. We LOVE it! :D And we love you, Carrie! :D

Congrats! That is great! We still have alot to do so we will be working through this summer, though at a much more relaxed pace. I really don't mind because we love Preparing.

Enjoy your summer!
