HOD Cares

Post by mrsrandolph » Fri May 14, 2010 11:25 am

You know. Mike and Carrie CARE about us. They are praying for our needs. That is REALLY saying something for a Homeschool Supply company. :!: They are really family to us.

There are times when I am tempted to buy a title for a buck cheaper at another distributor  , but I need to keep in mind what ALL I am paying for when I buy a book from HOD.

That extra "buck" pays for "on call" service from the OWNERS and WRITERS of this curriculum! It pays for this board. That stuff is not free. It costs time, money, and time away from their own families.

May God Bless the Austins, their helpers, and HOD! :D

I am glad you brought this up as I was thinking the same things this week. I am preparing to gather everything we need for next year and as much as I enjoy getting a "bargain" on used books and such I think buying straight from HOD is not only a good deal financially but also is right in supporting the family who has worked so hard to bring us this fantastic curriculum!
It truly is a blessing to educate my children with HOD programs!
Thanks Austins! :D
And thanks to all of the ladies on this board!

I agree! I was thinking about getting a few books from other companies, A dollar here, a dollar there....but it comes down to way more than money!! These people are investing in the spiritual future of our kids and our families. I am so glad to have found them! In fact, I just placed my first HOD order and was scrolling thru when I found this thread. Thanks for starting it!!!

I totally agree!!! Luke 10:7, says "for the labourer is worthy of his hire." After someone takes time talking to you and help you work through figuring out what to use for your dc, if you're going to buy something, we should buy it from the one who has been a help to us.

I agree. We just ordered RTR and other than what we could find at the library, we ordered through HOD. I was just so grateful for such a beautifully organized and well thought out curriculum, I couldn't even think about awarding someone else that sale. Can barely wait for RTR TM and Notebooking pages to ship, August can't get here fast enough!!!!! :D

Shannon,

Thank you so much for this thread! It blessed my heart beyond measure today as I am spending very long hours these days writing RTR, which is proving to be a huge historical time period to cover with a daunting amount of information. :D I am thoroughly enjoying the research and writing but find the guides evermore difficult and time-consuming to write as we head into the upper grades. :D

We are so grateful for the support of ladies like you both through our business, which enables us to financially be able to continue writing, and through your prayers, which keep us focused in the direction the Lord would have us go. :D

We pray our guides may continue to bless those of you whom the Lord has brought to HOD. We are grateful to minister to each of you personally through the board and through our business and feel privileged to know you! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
