Although we didn't have the privilege of having HOD as a vendor, I can say this was the best homeschool convention I've been to. Why? Because of HOD

This is the first convention I've been to that I didn't need to decide 'what am I going to use?'

I always focused on shopping for curriculum and would rarely attend the workshops. What a mistake! I was able to enjoy looking around and I did buy a few 'extras' (not to replace HOD) I think will be fun side things for dd to do. But, I didn't feel the pressure of not having the curriculum decision made. Seeing all the diffent vendors did not sway me at all. NOTHING else appealed to me! That is so unlike me

Because I didn't have that to worry about, I was able to attend workshops which I thoroughly enjoyed and I gained so much from them. Some things that were said even supported the approach that Carrie takes in her HOD guides. One thing said that really hit me was "you control the curriculum; don't let the curriculum control you".

How I wish I would have been wiser in this area years ago. I feel free

I can teach my dd without worrying that she isn't getting enough done. We can take our time and enjoy LHFHG this fall at a pace and in a way that will best meet her needs. In 12 years of homeschooling, this is the most peace I have ever felt about our method and plans for our hs year. Thanks, Carrie, for the wonderful work that you have done in HOD. I praise God that He lead me to your website

It would be great to have you in PA sometime

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. III John 4
