My 13 yo is the only one doing RTR next year. I'm not seeing a DITHOR book pack list for an 8th grader. Are they to use the books from the history or storytime or extension section?
Carrie - I think you may be getting a phone call from me before I actually place my order!

Re: RTR, again
I don't know that I'm really qualified to answer, but here it goes. As far as I can tell there isn't a 6/7/8 book pack, but when you buy the the DITHOR package with the teacher manual and the student manual you get a sample book list. Most of the books listed I was able to find at the library or to purchase separately in the HOD store.

Re: RTR, again
Carrie has been adding book packs...but there's not really an 8th grade one yet. The new 5/6 packs have reading levels of 5th grade-7th grade. You could use the storytime set for boy interest or girl interest from CTC for DITHOR for an older student if you wanted to. The reading levels on those books are 5th grade-8th grade. I think that I'd probably opt to get the book list & get ideas there though.

Re: RTR, again
You can get the Book List for $5, very worth it. There are a lot of books on there for that reading level all of which have been prescreened for content. I would recommend that if you are wanting ideas. It is really a great thing to just have on hand anyway.

Re: RTR, again
You can buy a book list for $5 and it lists books by genre and reading level. I bought it and it's great...very helpful in determining good, wholesome books for my children to read.

Also, when you buy a DITHOR set, the book list is included.
