New with ? about read alouds and independent readers

Post by dajihernandez » Mon Apr 26, 2010 9:19 am

I am planning on purchasing the R TO R books in July. I am getting my list of things I need together and am wondering if I need to purchase both the independent readers as well as the read alouds. I will be teaching both an 10 and 12 with this curriculum. My older will also sit in on the read alouds as he loves to be read to. With that said do I need to purchase the package for older children as well so he can read on his own. I thought about using some of those books along with drawn into the heart. I do not want him to feel like he is rereading something he already heard from me though. Any thoughts would be great.

Do you have the book list? search web site for the following:
101D - DITHOR - Sample Book Ideas List
That may help if you don't want to repeat books he has read. It is a wonderful list with books you can get out of your Library and is broken down into genre and reading lvl to use with DITHOR.
