Our First Day with LHTH

Post by christina101902 » Mon Apr 05, 2010 2:38 pm

I am so happy with how today went, the kids loved the AAA is for Adam rhyme. I took it one step further and asked what kind of animals they thought the albatross and anaconda were after they did the motions. They both shouted out the answers , we had so much fun. I am so glad I found this curriculum. This is everything I hoped for and more   I hope to have many more successful days.

Thank you all,
Christina

Hooray, Christina! :D I'm so glad your first day with LHTH went well. LHTH gives such a happy start to homeschooling. I'm impressed that your little ones could figure out from your actions what "anaconda" and "albatross" are - you must have really gotten into it, which always helps them get into it too. :) A few months ago when I was being the "anaconda", my ds jumped on my back and said, "I got the snake!". He just about knocked the breath out of me. My oldest ds snapped a picture of it. Thanks for sharing here! :D
Here's the picture BTW - I'm smiling through the pain.

There are lots of happy days ahead for us with LHTH. This is my third time through, and it's still a blast. :D

Christina,

I'm so glad that you had a great first day with LHTH! :D We pray you'll have many more to come that are just as enjoyable.

There's no greater gift you can give your little ones than to help hide God's word in their little hearts! Thanks for sharing. :D

Blessings,

I've just started LHTH for the 2nd time, too. And it's most definitely a lot of fun!! :D We love it! And I can tell you Christina that you're in for a fun, Christ-centered journey ALL the way to the end.

I wasn't a very good anaconda or alligator this time around. This baby is popping out, so no slithering here. Garret did a MUCH better job than I did! :D Julie, you look lovely as you're being squashed! Garret & Emmet must be a lot alike. Garret is VERY affectionate and loves to hug me...the only problem is that for him there's really not much of a difference between his hug & diving tackle.

That's so exciting! My four year old still sings A, A, Adam and we learned it over a year ago! I can't wait to do LHTH again with my other kiddos when they're old enough. :)
