? about my order for Cincy Convention

Post by John'smom » Mon Apr 05, 2010 6:39 pm

After reading the thread entitled ? about HOD at the Arlington Bookfair I now have a question about my HOD order for the Cincy Convention. I am ordering Beyond. I need the complete economy package, but not the total basic package as we use MUS for Math. After reading the other thread, it sounds like I won't be able to purchase parts of the basic package at the Convention. Is this right or am I misunderstanding the other thread? I also had a friend who possibly wanted me to pick her up a teacher's guide. Is it possible to buy just a guide at the Convention? Thanks for the info.

John's mom,

You can order anything individually that you desire at convention, and can also take with you that day any individual items that we have in stock at the convention. The only packages we try not to break up at the convention itself are the Boy/Girl/Classic Book Sets, the read-aloud/reader sets, and the extension packages. This is because we can hardly keep track of what books we have left within packages otherwise (at convention) as we're usually much too busy to be digging through them.

Sorry for the confusion! The Economy Packages and the Basic Packages in all guides and the Basic Packages in the younger guides are all readily accessible to us on the table tops, making them easier for us to do individually as needed. Whatever we do not have left at convention, you can order (separately or in packages) and we will ship it to you for free when we get home! :D Happy shopping!

Blessings,
Carrie

Carrie,
Thanks so much for the response!!! I was wondering if that's what Julie meant on the other thread, but I didn't want to assume. I totally understand what you are saying. I was feeling a little disappointed that maybe I wouldn't be able to get my HOD materials this week even though I've waited patiently and not ordered online. No reason for concern now.

I'm really excited to meet you and Julie in person, and to buy my things. I already have you marked on the map in the vendor hall. I also wanted to say I've been praying for your little one who has been struggling with sickness. I pray he's doing better. I couldn't imagine how hard it is to leave your dc and even more so if they are sick.

Sorry I was confusing there  - I'm so glad you asked this and Carrie answered! :D I'm looking forward to seeing you too at the convention. Carrie's little guy is doing well now! He had tubes put in his ears, and is happily basking in the glow of his Nana's attention this weekend. :D Our parents never care for the dc except for a few days during conventions, so it's a special treat our dc look forward to each year, and our parents do too. Thanks for asking about little Beau - yeah, if he hadn't been better it would have been Mike and I at the book fair because there's no way Carrie would have gone. Praise the Lord little Beau is finally well!!! Many, many prayers have been offered on his behalf, and of course, as always, our Lord was listening. :D

In Christ,
Julie
