O/T Anyone else on Spring Break this week?
Just wondering.
My dh decided to take the week off, so we did too. This is really the first break we have taken that I wasn't exhausted and NEEDING a break. I am so proud of myself for that! Usually I trudge through until I am the one needing the break. It feels go to take a planned and scheduled break.

Ours isn't until the 2nd week in April, when we'll be heading to visit my parents and extended family for a week. Looking forward to it!

We're not taking one and finishing in April!!
Actually, just a few days ago I found out that we get some unexpected company (my sis & husband...and COUSINS!!
), so we'll trickle our finishing over into the 1st week of May. But, the kids and I are super excited for our summer break and wanted to just keep skipping along!
Have a fun break!! I know we've been really enjoying our time outside. We finish school, then lunch, and then OUT to play at home, at the park with friends, in the MUD, at the farm.
I know that I get spring fever even more than my kids.
Anyway, we all go to bed tired & happy this time of year - after much-needed showers of course.

Re: O/T Anyone else on Spring Break this week?
We just finished our Spring Break and got started again today. We visited with my parents in Fla, enjoying some warmer weather, beach, Sea World, St Augustine, etc. It was nice to visit the Castillo de San Marcos in St Augustine, as we read about the Spanish coming over and establishing St Augustine at the beginning of Beyond. Love it when history can come alive to the kids!
Now... we have about 7 weeks to go to finish Beyond and our school year. You know how it goes... it's enjoyable, but looking forward to a summer break at the same time!

We were not planning on it, but ds has swim class this week right during school time, so I have decided we will just take one. The good news is our son with a lot of fears had a lot of fun his first day of swim class.

I had to take two weeks off earlier this month, so no, we are not on spring break but all the neighborhood kids are, thankfully we're done with school before most of them are done with lunch so dd is happy.

Oh how I wish we were taking spring break at the BEACH! LOL But alas, we are home. We live on a big farm and the weather is supposed to be just glorious! By Thursday, we are supposed to hit the mid 70's!
We are on week 24 of Little Hearts, so we will be going on into the summer a little to finish up. No big deal, though...my little guy begs for Bible, History, read aloud, thinking skills, and rhymes every day! Little Hearts is his FAVORITE for the days.

Spring break here too! We maybe should have kept on working but we kind of run a weird schedule anyway. I pretty much go year round with a month off at summer and a month off during Christmas. We enjoy it that way and it is nice because you do not have to do a bunch of reviewing.
Have a nice break!

Our is next week and I am looking forward to a break -- hoping for some beautiful weather here since we will just be staying at home mostly. DH and I DO get to go on a little getaway towards the end of the week while the kids are at my mom and dad's!

No Spring break here! We just could not finish in the middle of a unit. It's too interesting and too much fun to do school with HOD. We are doing Bigger 2 weeks for 1 unit!
I may have to have surgery soon and that will be a great time to take 1 week off.
