I just want to say that for the first time in a VERY long time, my kids & I are excited to do school on Monday! Our boxes came late this afternoon, and it was so much fun looking thru all the books! My hubby & parents kept asking, "where are the text books?" and I was trying to explain that there aren't any, really...
So here's the best part. My girls both wrote their names in ALL of their books! My one dd is in 4th grade, so she had her regular program books plus DITHOR books, too. So it was a bunch, and she signed them all! She HATES to write, too. They both wanted to do this. We had been in a virtual academy that was chartered by our state, so every year we had to send our books back. We didn't get to keep them. The girls were so thrilled that all these cool books were OURS TO KEEP! They just couldn't get over it.
Then, the 1st grader, who has shown NO interest in reading books on her own, takes off with the Early Reader's Bible and reads 42 pages by the evening!! The 5th grader was reading one of the science books all afternoon!
I think I'm gonna like this!!
