OT - Prayer Request

This is off topic but if you get a minute would you please say a prayer for me and my family? DH is under a lot of stress at work and there is a possibility that they may be making some cuts in the next few months. We've been hearing rumors for awhile, but weren't too concerned about them until recently. We think that DH has enough seniority to keep his job, but we could always use prayer. Also, a few months ago when they first started talking about cuts, I put a job application in at Wal-mart thinking maybe I could get a part-time job to help out. I hadn't heard anything from them so had kind of put it out of my mind. Well, I just got a call from them tonight asking me to come in for an interview tomorrow. I haven't been to a job interview in over 10 years and am super nervous. Please pray for me to be calm and present myself well. Also, that if it's God's will for me to take this job that they will offer me hours that will still allow me to be home with DS during the day and homeschool. Thanks!

Thanks for praying ladies! The interview went well and it looks like I will be a working mom here pretty soon. It has been amazing to see God's hand in this whole thing. We've been praying for several months about a way to pay our debt off quickly and begin saving for another adoption. I went to the interview and they offered me a job on the spot. It's only a temporary job for 8 weeks but if it works out, I may be able to get something permanent after the 8 weeks are up. They had 2nd and 3rd shift spots available and I really didn't want 3rd shift because of schooling DS. I told them I would need to talk to my DH about the hours and would call them back. I came home and talked to DH and he told me to go for it if we could find someone to watch DS for the 2-3 hours that our schedules would overlap. I made one phone call to a girl at our church and she immediately agreed to watch DS in the afternoons for the next 8 weeks for very little money. I also called and asked them to change the shift to start 1 hour later in the afternoons and they were willing to do that. Then, I was worried because I realized that DH would be out of town for training one week during this 8 week job and I wouldn't have childcare for Samuel for the nights. DH went to work today and they told him that he doesn't have to go to the training after all. It's just been amazing how things are falling into place. This will allow us to completely pay off one of our debts by the end of May and I'm hoping that it will turn into a part time job a few days a week.

That is so great Stephanie! I am so glad you are feeling peace about the direction God is leading you. It is always so neat to see how he speaks to us through opening & closing different doors. I always love pointing these situations out to my kids, who sometimes wonder how God speaks to us when we can't hear Him. Now just don't spend all your $$ at the store!
