A Photo Test

O.K. Melanie - You've got me trying this! I took the plunge and joined photobucket. We'll see how this goes! These are supposed to be clickable thumbnails.
These are some pics I have of my sons doing a DITHOR project. It's a re-enactment of a favorite scene. My oldest son is the storeowner with the handsome mustache and apron. My middle son is in the ballcap and is the character Shan, and our baby is playing 2 parts - the wookpecker and the turtle. Hope this works! Here goes....

Well, I think it worked, but I don't think they are "clickable thumbnails". I guess they're going to remain thumbnail size. Can anybody see these pictures? And if so, are they really tiny? Too tiny to truly see? I may have to work with this size thing. Very fun though - and not nearly as hard as I thought it would be!

Julie,

Try the third size "website/e-mail". The thumbnails are too small :D

Thanks so much, Mary! Is this a better size? I'm not sure if what I am seeing on my Mac is what everyone else sees. I surely don't want an itty-bitty picture or a GIGANTIC one either. I think I picked the one you meant, or didn't I? Thanks!

Definitely! I may be hooked! I just posted a family picture on the thread "Since we're all posting pictures now!" Thanks for helping me out, or we could have permanently been smurf-size on this site! (Does anyone remember the Smurfs? Little and blue... my favorite cartoon as a child next to Road Runner or Bugs Bunny!) Thanks, Mary!

Oh! I loved the Smurfs. I can't coax my kids to watch them, though. I'm gonna try to post a smaller pic, too. Stay tuned....

Okay, these are older pics of my oldest kids-probably about ages 7 & 5? Anyway, just posting to see if the resizing worked.

I used web site/email selection on photobucket. Can anyone tell me why it's still this large?

Okay, it worked much better, it looked as if it was still the same size when I previewed. So, thumbnail size works for me.

Looking back now, both are the same size. Very strange. I guess it just looks large when previewing..? I'm gonna stop posting now.

IHT - I had a similar photobucket experience late last night, but Mary saved the day by helping me out! For me, if I click on the "Generate HTML Code" button, and then choose "IMG Messages for Message Boards", it gives me a nice medium sized picture. Not so smurfish or Goliath-like either! Your kids look cute in any size though!

WOO HOO!! :D Let's do that little "stir the pot" dance, shall we?!?

Yes, it is addicting...but, I was not taking pictures of my kids doing school stuff before....so I think it is a GOOD addiction!

It really is easy, once you get the hang of it....it's just hard for me to wrap my head around new things sometimes. :?

If you're on photobucket, all you have to do is click the IMG code under the picture you want to post and it automatically copies it, then all you have to do is paste it in the thread you want to post it in. You can skip the generate code part that way! :D I found the clickable thumbnails don't seem to work on this board, but eh-that's ok! (unless you're on dial up, I guess! Sorry to the dial up girls to make you open a large file! )

And it looks larger when you try to resize it until you refresh it. Then it will look the right size-photobucket links to the picture in the photobucket account so whatever size it is there it will be when you post it. But it will still look big on the message board till you hit refresh.
(clear as mud??)

I so love to see everyone!! I've met Julie before at my first homeschool conference-you sold me and dh on DITHOR!! Carrie was pg and taking a much deserved break and you were running the booth when I stopped by! :-) But it's so nice to see your families, too!!

Say it with me now, "Papa Smurf always says..."

You can watch the Smurfs on Boomerang. My kids think it's so funny to watch all the old cartoons that dh and I watched growing up!
