saying hello

Post by kelli » Sun Jan 31, 2010 5:09 pm

my name is kelli and i'm homeschooling this year for the first time. i check the board everyday and keep up with everyone, but have had some trouble logging in so i haven't said much. i just thought it was time for me to let you all know how blessed i feel to have prayed and then discovered hod! i realize how rare it is as a first timer to choose the right curriculum. though we are only in unit 14, i can say for certain we will stick with hod to the end. it has blessed our family tremendously!! thanks to all of you for your weekly check-ins, comments, encouragements and struggle sharing. it keeps me going! i know one of the things i treasure most is seeing you godly women shine through your comments. god has used you to confirm to me i am in the right place. i feel like we are friends and neighbors, even though this is the first day you're meeting me. thanks everyone. what a special group!!

Hi Kelli, nice to "meet" you!

This is my first year homeschooling as well, and every day I am thankful that God led me to HOD. This curriculum has been such a blessing for our family, too, and has made our first year so rewarding.

Hope to see more of you on the boards!

Hi Kelli

It's nice to meet you. It must be really nice to start out with HOD. Unfortunately, I did not discover it my first year of homeschooling. Actually, I'm still waiting to place my first order. But I love this board. I have seen a lot of homeschool message boards have very bad attitudes, bickering and arguing. It is nice to find one that does not have that ugly, nasty tone. I am fairly new here, too.

Happy Homeschooling!

HI Kelli
I am new to posting on the board too but like you have been informed and encouraged for months reading everyones posts.
This is our third year using HOD but I find I am getting MUCH more out of the program since visiting the board and hearing everyone's experience and questions.
Happy Homeschooling!

Kelli,

I just wanted to pop-in and welcome you to the boards too! :D I'm so glad that you're getting a chance to use HOD and to be encouraged by the board. The ladies on this board are wonderful women who strive to uplift one another and help one another in a Godly way. We're so privileged that the Lord has brought together such a diverse group of women who are united in their goal to homeschool their kiddos with Christ at their center. :D

Thanks for introducing yourself. We'll look forward to getting to know you even better. :D Please let us know if you continue to have issues posting, as we'll be glad to help. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
