Unit 17 Day 4 science LHFHG

Post by jenntracy » Fri Jan 29, 2010 2:55 pm

Definitely use more vinegar in this experiment. we did it following the directions, went on to some other activity and came back. Nothing was happening. We were in the same room while doing the other activity while watching this one. So ...we added some vinegar and wah-la, raisins started rising and floating. We used an 8 oz glass of water since the amount of water wasn't specified.
So there is your heads up if you haven't tried this experiment.
Thanks to creativemommy who posted about this in the "how was your week" section before we tried it.

Jenn,

This is a great tip to speed up the experiment and really get the raisins hopping! :D I just wanted to mention that it does work as written in the guide too, however, it just takes a bit more time to see results. :D We've field tested that one 3 different times with our 3 sons and had great results. :D

We pray you're enjoying Little Hearts as much as we have in the past. My older sons still look back on it with such fond memories. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
