Exciting News/Prayer Request

Post by Kathleen » Mon Jan 04, 2010 10:12 pm

Hi fellow HODies! :D

I just have to share that I'm 6 weeks pregnant! :D

My last 2 pregnancies have been miscarriages, so my prayer request is that if the Lord wills, this baby would keep growing and live. I'm not yet to the point where I lost the last 2 (at 8 & 10 weeks), but so far all seems to be right with this one. I'm tired, sick, cry about everything, and can't stand the thought of chocolate. I'm not typically a worrier...but it is sure hard not to be paranoid about this. :? The Lord encouraged me today as I was reading in Matthew 6. "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself." I just love how God speaks just what I need to hear to me through His Word! So, I'm trusting Him - the giver of life - completely, and know He knows what's best for our family. The fact that this is the 3rd time for me to conceive in the last 2 years is in itself a miracle as I have some pretty significant infertility issues.

To God be the Glory!!

Congrats! I have had several miscarriages and serious infertility issues as well. I am 29 wks and have 3 girls already. I know how tough it can be when you have had miscarriages. I am praying that this little baby is the one God intends for you and things will go smoothly for you.

Blessings,
Brandie

Wow, Kathleen, congratulations!! :D
This is great news!! I am rejoicing and believing with you!

Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible :!:
Deut. 7:13 I love this verse for your family: He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land - your grain, new wine and oil - the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land that he swore to your forefathers to give you. :D
Also, Proverbs 3:24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. 8)

I'm praying for you and yours right now and thanking God for this great gift He has given you!

Kathleen - how exciting! I will be praying for you as you begin this pregnancy journey. I too have had losses, most recently in December, and know how hard it is to hope and pray for another baby but knowing the fear of that loss. God is good and knows exactly what our families need! Nothing is too hard for Him!

I'm so happy for you, Kathleen! :D :D :D This is good news indeed. I will be praying for you, my friend. You know they say having all of those pregnancy hormones is a good sign, so I guess it's good that you've got your share of them already. I know you will stay in the Word through this time, and I know God will walk with you in the months to come. You will be on my mind and in my prayers.

Love in Christ,

Kathleen, wonderful news! I will be praying for the Lord to bless you and your little one in your womb. I had a miscarriage once before and now as I approach 40 I have concerns about being able to have a baby again, so I long for you and with you to have a healthy pregnancy and wonderful birth. God is able to do more than we can ask or imagine!

Kathleen,

That is such wonderful news, celebrating with you! :D

Can I just tell you that my heart skipped a beat when you mentioned Matthew 6 and the encouragement that you received from it.
That exact verse was placed upon me in a really chaotic time in my life and I received such comfort and direction from it.
There is such confirmation and comfort in God's word...trust Him!

Oh Kathleen that is wonderful news! Another little HODie! I will be praying for your pregnancy that God will protect this little one. Knowing the waiting is hard when you hear a heart beat though you will be in good shape. You are close to that time soon so hang on and have faith until then. Very excited for you! :D
