Carrie,

Thank you so much for your suggestions!

I do think that Preparing would be a definite fit for my upcoming 4th grader. I am still not sure what I will do with my upcoming 5th grader but appreciate your ideas. It is too bad he is a year ahead of your guides. I will continue to pray and think about this one.

I am still thinking that Beyond is the way to go for my upcoming 2nd grader. He is definitely ahead in Reading and Math but not Writing. I really don't want to overwhelm him so I think placing him in Beyond will be the thing to do. I already own pretty much everything that is used in Beyond except for the guide and a couple of other items.

My upcoming Kindergartner is so ready to do school. She asks to do school about everyday so I feel that now is the time to get started with her. I already own LHFHG and most of the accompanying books so I am going to go ahead and get started with her. She is 5 years and 4 months and knows all her letters and sounds, can recognize numbers at least through ten and count beyond, knows her colors, can write her own name, and is starting to sound out CVC words. I acutally did a few things out of LHFHG with her this afternoon and she absolutely loved the Creation Rhyme. She had to do it again for her Dad when he got home late this evening. She is my child that loves to move!

My youngest girl just turned three last week, so she won't be able to combine with my upcoming Kindergartner. Though, I am sure she will join in on things like the Rhymes. I, also, own LHTH and I think I have all the accompanying materials, too. It will be a matter of just fitting her in as I can.

Thank you again for your time and help.

Dixie,

Good for you! It sounds like you have an excellent plan (and grasp of what your kiddos can do). Finding the right placement is so important, so we all like to toss around possibilites until you land on the best fit for your family!

It's sounds like your kiddos are ready to start. Just make sure to give yourself permission to go slowly or half-time for awhile with the youngers while you ease into your new schedule. I think you'll find it is easier to do our programs than it looks. Keep us updated on how it's going. We're so glad you're here! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
