A great homeschooling moment!

Post by butterfly113 » Tue Dec 08, 2009 7:29 am

Yesterday we were reading in A Child's History of the World about Ancient India, Ancient China and how the buddhist and hindu religions began. DS9 looks up at me and says, "Mommy, they need to know about Jesus. I am going to go there and preach one day!" It was in just the sweetest tone and sincerity for these people that do not know Christ. It melted my heart. We had some great discussion and prayed for God's will in His life. It was awesome!, and such an encouragement. I will have to file it in my memory bank for when we have a tough moment! Just thought I would share! :D

Had a similar moment this week :!: We are at the same place in PHFHG and my middle son looks at me and says "I am going to be a missionary because there is nothing more important than knowing Jesus!" I asked where he wanted to go and he said he did not know yet. I asked if I could go, too and he said yes. Then he very thoughtfully said, "Do we have to pay our way to get back? That's going to cost alot more for two." :)

What a special moment. Moments like these are the rewards of giving your child a Christian education!

The power of the Lord is great to behold! I'm so glad He is working in your dc's hearts. This is the best possible outcome of homeschooling, or of anything in life for that matter. :D

What a blessing to hear these special stories! Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy schedules to share these moments with us! :D It encouraged my heart today too as there's nothing greater than having a heart for others and desiring for them to know about Jesus and His gift of salvation. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
