DD requested more svience

Post by crlacey » Fri Dec 04, 2009 11:51 am

We are enjoying Beyond and are on week 17. We do like the science that is provided, but DD has asked to do science on days when none is scheduled. Does anyone have any recommendations for more science that I can add on days she wants more?

Library books!

You can find all kinds of experiment books and living science books at the library.

I like Science Chef especially. It is full of kitchen recipes that also teach science concepts.

In our house basically it looks like this...

Library Books
Nature & Magic School Bus DVD's
Experiment kits (magnet kit was the MOST fun for that age)
Nature Walks
Science field trips.
Wife of 18 years to Jon.
DragonFly (12yo)
Buttercup (14yo)

Thanks Daisy. The Science Chef sounds like fun, we'll have to look for that one.

Crystal,

If you do end up doing some nature journaling, this link may be of some help to you: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=527
