Math Assignment Question
In LHFHG Unit 11, Day 5, the Math Exploration indicates that as part of the math review there is a workbook page that goes with it from Earlybird Kindergarten Mathematics 2B p. 80. I checked both math books 2A and 2B and the p. 80s do not have review sections. Am I not understanding something or is this a misprint?
Re: Math Assignment Question
I was coming on here to ask that exact question!
Re: Math Assignment Question
If I am not mistaken, I think the directions that Carrie has written mean, complete page 80 in the Singapore 2B workbook.
In other words, complete page 80 which is titled "review 3", in the upper left corner in the workbook page.
Simply put, I read it to mean: complete page 80 as your review assignment, the entire page is the review.
Hope that helps!

Re: Math Assignment Question
but it's not a review of the things that are listed in the box. We did review the things listed, but I didn't see a page that reviews those things.
Re: Math Assignment Question
Lora Beth,
From what I can gather, Carrie explains the concepts that have been covered in units 1-11, as listed in the box. She is then suggesting for you to review, on your own (no workbook page) any of those mentioned concepts that your student may have had any difficulty with.
Then, she writes: Additionally (seperate from the concepts mentioned above), complete the assigned review (workbook page 80 as "the review").
I interpret it as meaning that there is review to do on your own for the concepts mentioned in units 1-11 and then in addition to that, complete the workbook page for other review. I am thinking that the concepts on the review page 80 aren't necessarily supposed to correlate to the concepts she mentioned above. Just "additional" (different) review.
I am thinking this is the case anyway!
Since I am not totally sure it is probably best to have Carrie or Julie come along to explain.

Re: Math Assignment Question
Now that I examine the review exersises on page 80 more closely to the concepts that Carrie mentions in the math assignment box, it seems to me that the math review page 80 DOES qualify as related review.
The review page 80 has exercises in one more, one less, greater than and less than, as well as comparing numbers.
Maybe not directly indicated but does seem related. I could be wrong though!
Now I am eager to have clarification from Carrie even though we are past the Earlybird books at this point!

Re: Math Assignment Question
hopefulmom,
Candice did a terrific job of answering your question!
She is exactly right in that on review days, we list the main skills covered in previous units for you to review as needed (depending on your particular child's grasp of the listed concepts). Then, additionally, there is a page scheduled that reviews a few of the concepts from the previous units.
Blessings,
Carrie
