The Bears on Hemlock Mountain? Adventure? Realistic Fiction? What else could it be? Thanks.

I think I'd categorize it as an Adventure, but it could possibly be used for Realistic Fiction otherwise too. It is a wonderful book! We just finished this a few weeks ago, and my ds loved it. :D

I got a reply from someone on another board who said that Carrie had it listed under Folk Tales in the Sample book List? I wouldn't have considered it a Folk Tale, persay, but I guess it could be! Thanks!

Yes, she did that because it's a legend that's been told through the ages. It's true that a book such as this could be categorized in several different genres. :D
