I just wanted to pass along something that worked for us......
I love all the Bible reading, discovery and copying that HOD uses! However, my dd was frustrated with her current Bible because of the small print type. It is a "made for kids" Bible and was filled with a lot of extra stuff which was distracting. She became overwhelmed when she tried to find a certain book, let alone a chapter or verse. So, I purchased a Giant Print Bible and it has worked wonderfully. Because it's larger it lays open better for copying. The type size is much bigger and now she can actually see the verse numbers. She will still carry her other Bible to church, but this new Bible has worked great for our classroom work!

We did the same thing!! We bought Giant Print Pew Bibles (inexpensive and NO extras). We use them for school work and family devotion time (that way we are all literally on the same page). It has been wonderful.

Re: The "Right Fit" Bible
That sounds great! The biggest issue I have with reading from the NIV Bible is that my little one doesn't usually "get it." We bought the "message Bible" which has served our purposes so well. I have also found a lot of the verses in different translations by just typing the book, chapter: verse. It will give a few choices for different ways to read it and I pick the one I think will fit my son best. My older has no issues understanding the NIV, but little guy needs "conversational" text or you can actually SEE it flying over his head.

What a great idea! I had never thought to do that. Thanks for posting it.
