1st science experiment--CTC
1st science experiment--CTC
Especially if your child is on the older end of the CTG guide, the 2 minute search time for the M & Ms might be too long. We had to drop ours down to 30 sec. or my M & M predator could find ALL the M & Ms (which of course defeated the point of the lesson). (This experiment has to do with camouflage if you are in a differernt guide.) I also had my daughter invite the youngers in when she was done. It was (of course) a hit with everyone since you get to eat the M & Ms. I suggest a large bag (especially if you have 8 children like me!)

I agree! We found almost all of them. I was glad to have done this experiment though, because I am teaching this book in a co-op this year and now I know to cut the time down.

I only have 2 children but I'm thinking large bag anyway. Hee hee.

8arrows,
I thought the same thing when I read Jeannie's time limit for this experiment in the Zoo. 3 book, so this is a good tip! I agree the time limit would vary widely depending on the age and dexterity of the kiddo doing the experiment!
Blessings,
Carrie
