Heart for Him... and Rod and Staff

Post by mollie73 » Sat Aug 08, 2009 3:27 pm

I just received Hearts for Him... I'm so excited about it. We got the notebook pages that go with it, and they are just beautiful. I just had a quick question. I notice that the manual does Rod and Staff about twice a week, so my child will get through about 1/2 of it this year. Are the topics in the second half going to be addressed in other ways throughout the curriculum, or will my child then do the second half next year? Just wondering.

Thank you,
Mollie

Hi Mollie,

The rest of R&S will be scheduled in the next guide. R&S is meaty and advanced that is why they are taking two years to go through a level. :D

Mollie,

Kay is right! The grammar coverage in Rod and Staff is very advanced, so taking 2 years to cover a level at some point in the sequence works well. We do add Write with the Best to CTC to make sure that the writing component is enough when using Rod and Staff at half-speed for the grammar coverage. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
