I have 2 daughters who will be using CTC, one of whom will be using the extension package. I am wondering if I will need to require her to read both the History Interest Set (which I will be purchasing for my younger daughter) AND the Self Study Extension set for older students?
It seems as if a lot of the same topics are covered in the two sets so maybe she is to only read one set? I would like her to have time for plain old non-history reading as well.
Thoughts?

Michelle,
I'm gone to convention in Atlanta right now, which is why it took me a day or more to get to your post. And, since I'm the only one that can answer this, I appreciate your patience!
For CTC, the History Interest Set is meant for you to read-aloud to your kiddos. It is one of 3 options for read-alouds in CTC (Boy Interest, Girl Interest, or History Interest). For an older student (in the ages 12-13 range), we recommend either the Extension Pack (for the student to read independently following the schedule in the Appendix of CTC), or the History Interest Set (for the parent to read-aloud), or both if desired.
Blessings,
Carrie
