Question about Bigger core- Can I substitute?

Post by sted » Thu Jul 16, 2009 10:45 pm

Everyone has been so much help on this board! Thank you for asking all my questions!
I'm planning on doing Bigger and Bigger with Extensions.
A friend has just given me Abeka's A History of the USA book and workbook. Do you think I could substitue this for A Child's Story of America but still use the literature books in the extensions. Looking at the chapter titles, they seem pretty similar. Any opinions?

Thanks,
Shannon

I think you could use any spine as an extension text. I don't think it would be hard at all. It is supposed to line up with what you are studying already in History so you could just find the chapter on Columbus and read it when studying Columbus...

Although I have the Abeka 4 book (and LIKE it), I still ordered the Child's Story for ease since it is scheduled in the extensions. It may just depend on your current finances.
