Can I ask, is there a writing or activity element each day with DITHOR say in level 4/5 or are some days just reading? Do you do it every day? I'm trying to figure out how to schedule it with a 2/3 and 4/5 in Bigger.
Thanks,
Shannon

Re: DITHOR questions
Good morning, Sheila! In Bigger, DITHOR is scheduled daily, and I think that would work well for both of your dc. By doing it with both of them 5 days a week, you'll be able to do the "All Levels Together" days with both of them, and they can also choose the "Group Project" at the end, working together for that too (of course, they can choose the individual projects too, if they would rather - but it is convenient to have them work together for that last week of each unit). The General Daily Format in the Introduction shows what they'll be doing:sted wrote:Can I ask, is there a writing or activity element each day with DITHOR say in level 4/5 or are some days just reading? As far as the writing, in 4/5 students write in their student books about 4 times a week. Here is the first week, so you can see the amount of writing:

We did DITHOR 5 days a week with Bigger Hearts. We went through all 9 genres that year, and we had a great year. I began by writing my ds's answers for his workbook on a marker board, so he could copy them in his Student Book (he got hung up on having his spelling right - which is a good thing really
