assignment sheet for Bigger Hearts
Hello, does anyone use or have you created an assignment list for bigger hearts? I want to help my third graders to check off work as they have done it and to know what they haev to do for the day but I dont want to use the teacher book, I was wondering if anyone has already created this?
Re: assignment sheet for Bigger Hearts
I have one that I made for my dd who is using BHFHG this year. It is an excel sheet and if you want I can send it to you.

that would be great, at least I can see how you used it... I ran across the work boxes as anther way to keep them independent and held accountable... ( I have two Bigger hearts boys) (one little hearts boy) a 3 year old boy and a new baby in november so I am trying to get those older boys to at least be responsible to do much on own... you can send it to me...mrhcrh@verizon.net thanks for your help
Re: assignment sheet for Bigger Hearts
MOM4BOYS,
We just have our boys read directly from the HOD guide each day and check off each box in the guide. Then, I write a master schedule for each child that lists the order of their subjects daily with check off boxes next to it. I also put approximate times next to each item on the list. I put the schedule in a plastic page protector in a binder with a dry erase marker and eraser for each child. The child just checks off each of his subject's as he moves through them. Each of my boys has only his own schedule.
This saves me the job of retyping plans that are already typed each day, but still gives my kiddos a "schedule" to follow daily so everyone knows their order. I keep a copy of each child's schedule in plastic page protectors on a ring hanging on the fridge so my hubby and I can easily check to see whose supposed to be doing what when.
I'll just move this post over to the main board, so more moms will see it. This folder is for testimonial type posts for Bigger. All new posts begin on the Main Board.
Blessings,
Carrie

Re: assignment sheet for Bigger Hearts
When we started Bigger Hearts, we had this checkoff in a clear plastic sleeve for my ds:
After about a 2 months of using the list, he no longer needed it because he had the order of it memorized. He then just began checking off the boxes in the manual and using it himself. This was super training for him to do PHFHG then next year. He was used to using the guide, and that made his independent boxes very easy for him to do. HTH!
